The ASUS Bamboo Series notebook

March 12th, 2009 by admin

It is not the first wooden computer. It is not made of wood at all. It is simply covered with bamboo. The construction is still the same: metals and plastics.

Bamboo as an Alternative Material

Does it make sense?  Definitely. This is for all those who like the feel of wood.

ASUS says, “With every touch, users will be able to feel the difference – the bamboo gives an instant sense of familiarity, just like the sensation one would get from running one’s fingertips across furniture.”

And finally, I think it is more healthy. I’m still not sure about touching synthetic keyboards, touchpads and mouses all the time. The only thing I wonder about is; why isn’t the keybord made of wood?

Hello world!

January 8th, 2008 by admin

Welcome to Word without coffee and cigarettes. This is my first post and first day without caffeine and nicotine. And this is not an accident. It was my intention to quit both of them at once. I know it sounds like masochism, but i think its easier to stop smoking without the caffe pot.

Good night. Keep Your fingers crossed :)
